Building with Excellence

Arnzen Building Construction has become a key player in the changing face of North Central Idaho. We have grown into a competitive general contracting firm in the region, building and remodeling many residential, commercial, educational, medical and public works projects.

Our extensive experience involves all aspects of building. In residential construction, we generally handle all building phases with in-house crews. These phases include excavation, site work, foundation, flat cement, framing, roofing, siding, interior finish and trim. In the commercial field, we have completed a wide variety of buildings and remodels.

We maintain our high quality construction and workmanship with a stable, long time work force. Our office staff is willing and capable of answering any questions and assist with communication between project team members during the building process. Besides wide-ranging building knowledge, experience and friendly customer service, we are also fully insured for your protection.

As a local company, we are familiar with most local subcontractors and their capabilities. We also have many contacts and sources outside the area. We coordinate well and gladly give opportunities to owner specified local subcontractors to bid and perform work.

Project Efficiency

We at ABC, believe what we do is special. Our clients enjoy personal service, project efficiency and reduced overall cost. We work hard in our client’s interest to bring the project in under the max price. The subcontractors and suppliers we use on projects become part of a successful team which demands qualified work force, quality workmanship and performance, and then rewards them with required support and prompt payment. These sound like little things. But unfortunately in today’s marketplace, projects are often completed by construction teams made up of low bidders, under qualified and unfamiliar with local resources and conditions, completing minimum standard work with all the back biting and duress that goes with it. We find our system gives the client a better product at less cost than our competition.

Quality Control

Any job done once correctly is the best way to streamline a schedule by eliminating delays. Proper quality control prevents project delay by verifying correct materials, methods and trades for every phase of construction. ABC starts with selection of qualified subcontractors and suppliers. Project submittals are thoroughly reviewed and processed to expedite delivery. The project manager continually tracks the progress, addressing the status and any issues at:

  • Monthly meetings with design team (owner & architect)
  • Biweekly meetings with all project subcontractors
  • Daily meetings with project manager or superintendents

The project superintendent will also play a key role in quality control. Our superintendent will review and study all plans and product information before and during the course of construction, submitting daily reports on compliance and scheduling.

History

Arnzen Building Construction was established by company President, Morris B. Arnzen of Cottonwood in 1987. Morris is a native of Cottonwood, graduated from Prairie High School, and attended the University of Idaho. He has been in the construction business since 1979. A long time employee of Enneking Building Construction, Morris purchased the firm when George Enneking chose to retire from the business. The firm then incorporated January 6, 1995 to its present name.

Philosopy

Our reputation is to do the job precisely according to specifications. We pride ourselves on complete customer satisfaction. Project excellence, personal attention and quality service are the fundamentals of the Arnzen philosophy. We are committed to ensuring that all investments, financial or otherwise, are fully maximized. Open communication and close job supervision are keys to quality project completion. We take pride in assisting clients with establishing realistic cost models and providing specific cost control strategies to adhere to those models. The team is dedicated to developing, documenting and implementing clear, concise and simple procedures for each phase of a project, which facilitates a more thorough understanding of the desired scope of work.

Morris Arnzen

President

Morris has decades of construction experience since 1987. This includes experience in commercial, health care, religious, residential and educational facilities. His core belief is that no matter the size of the project, each one must be built to the highest standard - meeting or exceeding all of the owner's goals. This belief has been ingrained in the company from the beginning, making the company a leader in the construction industry and sought after for many design-build projects. Morris maintains this high standard with the help of high quality employees and a team of select subcontractors. Some of Morris' best qualities are: effective communication with the owner/architect and field staff; a high degree of detailed estimating; being very receptive to other ideas; and providing personal service. Professionalism and quality craftsmanship will always be the first and last thing any client will remember about Morris and Arnzen Building Construction.
